Whitby School Enrollment Forecasts

Urbanomics prepared two demographic studies to determine enrollment potential at the Whitby School, a premier International Baccalaureate & Montessori school located in Greenwich, Connecticut. The Whitby School offers a private pre K-8th grade education to some 400 students drawn from southwestern Connecticut and Westchester County, New York.

The studies evaluated market area demographic trends in Whitby's catchment area in terms of age, race-ethnicity, educational attainment, private school enrollment, and household income. Grade level enrollment was forecasted annually over a five-year period based on alternative assumptions of development patterns and international in-migration. Additionally, Urbanomics evaluated comparable schools in Whitby's catchment area in terms of enrollment growth and analyzed trends in employment among Whitby parents to assist Whitby with targeted marketing efforts.
